The George Eliot Hospital Charity was founded in 1996 to provide additional funding to support the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. Our mission is to work together with donors, staff, community and partners to enhance care and wellbeing, fund innovative equipment, improve patient experiences, and foster a positive environment where compassionate care thrives.

Patient and family support – We provide the extras that help make patients and their families more comfortable.
Environment – Improving the hospital environment and creating a ‘home from home’ atmosphere, make spaces more welcoming for everyone.
Equipment – Funding state-of-the-art specialist medical equipment that would otherwise be unavailable ensures access to life-saving treatment.
Staff development – Ensuring staff have access to the latest training, development and emotional support so they can continue to excel at patient care.
