George Eliot Hospital Charity

The George Eliot Hospital Charity was founded in 1996 to provide additional funding to support the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. Our mission is to enhance patient care for individuals and their families, fund essential life-changing and life-saving equipment, and foster staff wellbeing through training and creating a positive work environment.

Supporter Promise

It is only through the kindness, generosity and hard work of our supporters that we can do more every year to take us closer to achieving our vision. We are committed to making you proud to support our hospital and strive to adhere to an open and honest relationship with you. We will keep you informed and updated about how we are spending your money, with specific emphasis on our four priority areas:

  • Patient and family support – We provide the extras that help make patients and their families more comfortable.
  • Environment – Improving the hospital environment and creating a ‘home from home’ atmosphere, make spaces more welcoming for everyone.
  • Equipment – Funding state-of-the-art specialist medical equipment that would otherwise be unavailable ensures access to life-saving treatment.
  • Staff development – Ensuring staff have access to the latest training, development and emotional support so they can continue to excel at patient care.
