George Eliot Hospital Charity Calls for Adventurers to Trek Mount Toubkal for a Local Cause!

The George Eliot Hospital Charity is inviting daring adventurers to take on a once-in-a-lifetime challenge to scale North Africa’s tallest mountain, Mount Toubkal, and witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Anti-Atlas Mountains and the Sahara Desert.

This incredible opportunity combines adventure with purpose, as funds raised will support the “Mayor of Nuneaton and Bedworth’s George Eliot Hospital Breast Care Unit Appeal.” The appeal aims to provide the George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust with life-changing and life-saving equipment, improve patient care, and support staff wellbeing at the Breast Care Unit.

Participants will need to raise a minimum sponsorship of £1,500 per person. This covers return flights to Morocco, transfers, accommodation, food, and the guidance of local experts throughout the trek.

The George Eliot Hospital Charity team will be there every step of the way, offering support, advice, and guidance to help you meet your fundraising goal.

Ryan Ashby, who recently completed the Mount Toubkal Trek 2024, shared his experience:

“Climbing Mount Toubkal on behalf of the George Eliot Charity was an unforgettable experience. With expert guides and friendly locals, the journey was enriched by warm hospitality and professional guidance. Though the climb was tough, it was achievable and rewarding. The breathtaking views from the summit made every step worth it, and the purpose of supporting the charity added significant meaning to the adventure. I highly recommend this trek for anyone seeking a challenging yet fulfilling experience!”

Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply someone looking for an extraordinary challenge, this is your chance to make a difference while creating memories to last a lifetime.
