Leaving a Gift in Memory

Honoring the memory of a loved one by donating to George Eliot Hospital Charity is a meaningful way to celebrate their life while making a valuable difference to patients, their families  and staff.

There are many ways to give in memory:

  • Make a donation in their name
  • Hold a collection at a funeral or memorial service
  • Set up an online tribute page
  • Mark a special date (such as a birthday or anniversary) with a donation
  • Take part in an event or challenge in their memory

Asking family and friends to donate in lieu of flowers or in memory of a loved one is a thoughtful way to create a lasting tribute.

Donating In Lieu of Flowers at the Funeral

A donation in lieu of flowers is a simple yet impactful way to support George Eliot Hospital Charity. If you would like to do this, please speak to your funeral director, who can provide guidance and ensure all donations are forwarded to us.

Donations at a Funeral or Memorial Service

Most funeral directors can provide collection boxes for donations during a service. Alternatively, we can supply collection boxes upon request.

Family and friends can donate by cash or cheque. Please make cheques payable to George Eliot Hospital Charity and write on the back if the donation is intended for a specific ward or department.
