The Mayor of Nuneaton & Bedworth-Cllr Bill Hancox and Mayoress-Sheila Hancox are delighted to support the George Eliot Hospital Breast Care Unit, for the Mayor’s Appeal 2024 – 2025.
Funds raised from the Mayor’s Appeal will help provide new improved life-changing and life-saving equipment, and wellbeing support for both our patients and staff. Please help us to support the George Eliot Hospital Breast Care Unit team to provide the best possible care.
The Breast Care Unit at George Eliot Hospital brings together specialist staff including our Consultants, Nurses, Doctors, and medical staff to deliver expert, patient-centred care to diagnose and treat patients with breast problems and breast cancer and provide a range of breast care services and clinics to local people and patients.
The Mayor of Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council-Cllr Bill Hancox said: “There is a long history of Breast Cancer in Sheila’s family. Sheila was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and received excellent care and support. In January 2022, she required further surgery and once again was cared for by the dedicated staff of the Breast Care Unit. At such a challenging time for the NHS and health care it would be a real privilege to be able to help raise funds for the Unit and at the same time raise awareness of Breast Cancer. I hope it would also show all staff of the George Eliot NHS Trust how much we value them”.
